Recently, the State Government of Jharkhand launched a Health Insurance programme named Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme 2025, under which the Government aims to provide affordable health insurance services to all Government Employees and Pensioners in the state. This initiative aimed at health insurance at a much cheaper rate than market rates. About Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme 2025
On 28th February, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand State, Shri Hemant Soren, introduced this Health Insurance Initiative named Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme, in which the Authorities will provide Low Cost Health Insurance Facilities to all the Pensioners and Government Employees across the state. According to this scheme, the Government Employees have to pay a monthly fee of INR 500 to avail the benefits of this scheme, and Pensioners have to pay an annual charge of INR 6000 to avail the benefits provided under this scheme.
The Government of Jharkhand will provide a cashless treatment that costs INR 5 Lakh in any General Cases, in a Serious Case the Government will provide cashless treatment of a value of INR 10 Lakh as a health insurance fund for all the beneficiaries under this scheme.

Purpose of Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme
- The main purpose behind this Jharkhand Government Health Insurance Scheme is to provide health insurance services to all the Pensioners and Government Employees.
- Under this scheme the Government will provide Cashless treatment of INR 5 Lakh in General Cases & in Serious cases the Authorities will provide INR 10 Lakh amount as a health insurance.
